Taking my treatment
Take it exactly as your prescriber advised. The leaflet in your pack explains how to take and store it, including when you travel.
Side effects
Most side effects affect the stomach and bowel and ease over time. Read our side effects guidance, or ask us.
If you feel very unwell, call NHS 111, or 999 in an emergency.
Dosing and missed doses
Your dose is stepped up in stages, and only your prescriber can change it.
Don’t take a double dose to make up for a missed one. Each medicine has its own rule for how late a missed dose can still be taken, and it’s in the leaflet in your pack.
If you’ve missed more than one dose, or had a break, talk to us before you restart. You may need to restart on a lower dose.
