- It should not be taken if you or a close family member has had medullary thyroid cancer (MTC) or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN2), if you have a history of pancreatitis, or if you are allergic to the medicine.
- Common side effects include nausea, constipation, diarrhoea, vomiting, indigestion, abdominal pain and reflux. These are usually mild to moderate and most often occur when starting or increasing the dose. Read the patient information leaflet supplied with your medicine.
- Rare but serious effects can include acute pancreatitis and gallbladder problems. Seek immediate medical attention if you have severe or persistent stomach pain. For emergencies call 999.
- Do not use if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
- Results vary from person to person. We cannot and do not guarantee any particular outcome.
