Two options, side by side
Viagra Connect and Cialis Together work in a similar way. The main differences are timing and how food affects them. Your answers help our pharmacist check whether either is suitable for you.
Viagra Connect
Sildenafil 50 mg tablets. Pharmacy medicine.
- When to take
- Take around 1 hour before sex.
- Can work for
- Up to 4 hours after taking it
- Food
- A heavy meal may slow it down.
- How often
- No more than one tablet in 24 hours.
Cialis Together
Tadalafil 10 mg tablets. Pharmacy medicine.
- When to take
- Take at least 30 minutes before sex.
- Can work for
- Up to 36 hours after taking it
- Food
- Can be taken with or without food.
- How often
- No more than one tablet in 24 hours.
- Sexual stimulation is needed for both to work.
- The times above are treatment windows, not how long an erection lasts.
- They are alternatives. Do not take them together, or with any other ED treatment.
- For men aged 18 and over with erectile dysfunction. Always read the label and leaflet.

Is it right for you?
Could be suitable for
Men aged 18 and over who have difficulty getting or keeping an erection.
Not suitable if you:
- take nitrate medicines for chest pain or angina, such as GTN spray or isosorbide mononitrate
- use poppers (amyl nitrite)
- take riociguat for pulmonary hypertension
- have severe heart disease, unstable blood pressure, or have recently had a heart attack or stroke
- have severe liver problems
- have an inherited eye condition such as retinitis pigmentosa, or have had NAION
- do not have erectile dysfunction. These medicines are not for recreational use
For Cialis Together: if you take an alpha-blocker such as doxazosin or tamsulosin, speak to a pharmacist or doctor first.
